West Thornton Primary School, formally the Boston Road Schools (Infants, Junior Girls, Junior Boys) was founded in 1896. For boys the uniform is mostly the same, except for the grey trousers. The current headteacher for the school is Mr. Stuart Roberts, when Mr Peter Westlake left.
